Year Three - Collage flowers

The Year Three students made these collage flowers using a variety of materials.  We looked at a variety of flowers and noted the different shapes of the petals and the way the petals were 'layered' in some flowers. It is nice to see that they have all interpreted the activity in their own way.

Year Four - Rockets, Robots and Space Stations

The Year Four students have been learning about space in class this term so I decided to use this theme in art.  Each student was given a piece of adhesive foil and presented with a range of different collage materials.  They were then asked to create a picture of either a rocket, a robot or a space station.  It was lovely to see the variety of different work produced - including a robot cat.

Year Three - Ugly Bugs

The Year Three students had fun making these Ugly Bugs with collage materials.  First we started with a blot painting in three colours before adding legs, wings, eyes and other body parts.  The students really enjoyed to opportunity to be creative and use their imagination.

Year Three - Eric Carle inspired animals
