Year One - Rockets

The Year One students had fun using the collage materials to create rockets to display in the hall for Presentation Night.  I think they all loved using the sequins and the glitter paper.

Year Two - Starry Nights

The Year Two students created these art works in response to Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry Night".  The addition of glitter made them really special and they looked fantastic on the wall at Presentation Night

Year Four - Falling Into Space

I can't believe how quickly the year is going.  We have been busy in the Art Room preparing for the Presentation Nights next week - this includes preparing art works to decorate the walls.  The theme of the evenings is "Out of This World" so that has meant lots of Space themed activities.
The Year Four students have worked hard to create these wonderful paintings of themselves "Falling into Space".

(A big thank you to Mrs M who helped to get these finished off so that we could make the deadline and also to Mary Making for the inspiration and idea )

Year Four - Rockets, Robots and Space Stations

The Year Four students have been learning about space in class this term so I decided to use this theme in art.  Each student was given a piece of adhesive foil and presented with a range of different collage materials.  They were then asked to create a picture of either a rocket, a robot or a space station.  It was lovely to see the variety of different work produced - including a robot cat.

Year Four - Fantasy Space Scenes

The Year Four's have worked hard this term making these "Fantasy Space Scenes".  They have had an opportunity to use some different media in creating these scenes including tempera paint, dry pastels and even glad wrap.  It was hard to choose which pictures to include on the page...there were so many great examples.

(This activity was from the book "Dynamic Art Activities for Children")
